As we are all aware the euro has strengthened considerably against sterling recently making European built yachts more expensive than last year. Always having its eye on future exchange rates Ocean Nautic and its FX advisors were fortunate enough last October to secure forward contracts on the euro rate for this season. We are proud to say while many other European builders have increased their prices to the UK market we have held our September 2007 prices for current new deliveries on vessels now arrived at our Hamble base early this season. In reality for the first time the prices of new and PX's Absolute's are cheaper in the UK than if one were to buy from a European distributor. It has never been a better time to sail away in a new or second hand Absolute, why wait for your new Absolute, buy now and save 000's over a late season or 2009 delivery. Absolute 47 handles the rough stuff
See our new 47 model handle a recent delivery trip in some testing conditions on passage to St Tropez along the south coast of France. Sea state was 'rough', gusting over 30 knts and she still made the passage at an average of 20.3 knts. Skipper reported she handled very well and was able to maintain a very balanced planing speed even down to 15 knts, he comments.... " she just sliced her way through some quite big lumps of water". Unfortunately the crew didn't take any shots of the worst weather of the trip but a good flavour can be seen here.....

Absolute are at it again! not only content with launching two new models within 12 months but now hot on the heals of the ground and record breaking Absolute 47 HT and the award winning Absolute 52 we can now show you what we have been working on for the last 12 months.
The new and stunning 70, this yacht will set the larger sports cruiser market alight, not only is she faster, more economical and quieter than anything else currently available from the European builders but offers 20% more internal space than all of her competitors. The 70 is built with one aim in mind "to be the benchmark 70 cruising boat of the decade". There are some really innovative ideas on board designed to make life onboard as easy and as comfortable as possible with a no expense spared development schedule that really throws the gauntlet down.

Absolute 47 sweeps the floor on performance and efficiency in Motorboat & Yachting magazine giant sports cruiser test
Our 47 HT wins three best in class awards and two unique in class awards in this months Motorboat & Yachting giant group test of HT sports cruisers. Yet again when it comes to performance and efficiency Absolute leave the competition trailing in its wake. A few of the quotes from the test....
First off, its blazingly fast. Its over 5 knots faster than the average top speed of its rivals - a feat achieved with engines no more powerful than it oppenents.
Amazingly, its almost £140,000.00 cheaper (than one of its shaft drive rivals)∗.
Cruising at 27 knts, the Absolute 47's impressive gph and mpg figures are way ahead of the pack - whole fuel tankers ahead of the shaftdrive boats.
The most compelling of all is the Absolute 47. By dint of its remarkable speed, this boat immediately leapfrogs all the others in a variety of ways. Its 39 knot top speed is good for its own sake. It can take you where you're going faster, or take the same time as the others and give the engines an easier time.
All told, the Absolute 47 is by far the cheapest boat to buy and run.
Build quality is not an issue on the 47. Likewise it sports reasonably good detail detail too, inside and out.
In the final technical analysis produced by the magazine the Absolute 47 was the fastest, the most fuel efficient, the quietest and the cheapest of all the boats tested.
The Absolute 47 HT has also been shortlisted by Motorboat & Yachting and Motorboats monthly for best sportscruiser over 45 feet 2008.

Absolute 52 wins Croatian Boat of the Year award
Another stunning win for Absolute and another trophy to add to the list of many wins already to date. The unique feature of these awards however are unlike those awarded by magazines or the voting public, these awards are decided by the boat building industry themselves. These are the winners that the management and owners of dozens of yards world wide would choose as their favourite. Very high aclaim indeed and one Absolute are extremely proud of. One of the most innovative and fastest growing yards in Europe now hold an impressive list of awards for almost every boat in its line up.
Absolute biggest Dusseldorf show yet
Absolute and Ocean Nautic will be showing at this years Dusseldorf show (19th - 27th January) its key models 39, 41, 47, 52 and 56. We will also show a preview of the stunning new 70 a yacht that will once again wow the press and public alike. There are some very exciting features and new innovations appearing in the new 70 and will yet again show that Absolute are leading the way in new yacht development. Trevor White, Ocean Nautic's MD comments 'This new 70 will be a pivotal yacht in the yards and our expansion, she features some very special finishes and some incredible leading edge technology that will push us far ahead of the competition. We now have clients that have moved from a 39 to 56's and are now looking to go bigger but want to stay with the brand, this new 70 is exactly what our customers are looking for, performance, handling, space, new powertrain technology and design that leads competition'.
Launch of new 52 a huge success at Cannes
The eagerly awaited launch and first sea trials to customers of the new Absolute 52 Coupe took place recently at the Cannes boat show and proved a huge hit with customers. Ocean Nautics first customers to take on a sea trial ordered their new 52 immediately. The client commented 'I was just amazed at how quiet and smooth the boat felt, we were doing 32 knts yet it felt like 22 Knts and the space Absolute have created inside is just stunning. The master suite has full standing headroom throughout and a really big ensuite shower and WC, everything else we considered had limited headroom in the master and as we spend a lot of time on board this is a major bonus. She has ensuites to all three cabins and even room for a good sized laundry area. The clincher for us was the fuel consumption with IPS, we are saving a third of our fuel bill and with fuel going up all the time this was a big consideration'.

New 47 hard top 'Absolutely' wows the crowds at Southampton show
UK buyers stole a march on their mediterranean counter parts by being the first to view the stunning new Absolute 47 HT with IPS 600's at Southampton in September. The 47 has broken all performance records (and by a considerable margin) for an IPS powered sports cruiser. The retail price, having been announced just before the show, surprised everyone by being less than clients had expected. Sea trials after the show confirmed the factory's testing and a best speed was recorded of 41.8 knts with amazing acceleration to match. However, the biggest surprise was the fuel efficiency, the 47 can cruise at 27 knts at just 2600 rpm giving incredibly low fuel consumption for a yacht of her size and nearly 50% less fuel burn than her nearest shaft drive rival and even 25% less fuel burn than her nearest IPS 600 powered 46 foot rival. Ocean Nautic ran three boats for demonstrations after the show at Hamble a 39,41 and 47 HT.
First 52 Coupe and 47 reaches production this week
Here are the first brochure shots of the fantastic new 52 Coupe and 47 hardtop. Ocean Nautic are delighted to annouce that UK buyers will be the first to view the new 47 at SIBS starting the 14th September as we have secured the joint world premier in conjunction with the shipyard who will premier the 52 and 47 at Cannes show at the same time. The 47 has to be one of your first port of calls at the Southampton show, you will be amazed at what we have achieved. . . . faster, superior handling and rough weather ride, more economical, bigger inside and and as all Absolute's are, built to an exceptional high standard.
First sea trials of the fantastic new 52 Coupe
Ocean Nautic are delighted to show a few sneak shots of the first sea trials of the new 52 Coupe this month.
Trevor White - Managing Director comments ' she is shaping up to be a very special yacht indeed, we are estimating 33 knts from just twin IPS 600 engines (only 435 hp each) which is an incredible achievement bringing the running cost of this size of yacht on par with a yachts much smaller than 52', so now one can run a 52 foot yacht for the cost of a 42 traditional drive yacht of 42 feet . The layout works extremely well and offers three double cabins, three large ensuite heads and showers a very large fully enclosed saloon and galley up arrangement, a 600 kg hi - lo bathing platform to take a jet rib, big cockpit and of course that wonderful glass sliding roof. Orders have already been taken just from these first pictures which is fantastic news for us and the yard'.
The world Premier of the 52 Coupe is at the Cannes show begining 12th September 2007, anyone wishing to have a private viewing on the 12th and 13th September and potential short sea trial is advised to contact Ocean Nautic as soon as possible as there are limited places available.
Sneak preview of Absolute's fabulous new 47 Hard top
We are delighted to show the first picture of our new 47 hard top. The new 47 will be powered by the Volvo Penta revolutionary IPS system offering incredible performance, exceptionally quiet cruising, smoke free aft cockpit and silky smooth power not to mention up to a third less fuel consumption than our shaft drive rivals. The new 47 will also be available with Volvo's Joy Stick control system.
Along with our new 52 Coupe we will be showing the 47 Hard top for the first time at Cannes boat show in September where we will have the complete line up of Absolute's 39 - 41 - 47 Hard top IPS - 52 Coupe IPS and 56 Hard Top IPS.

Exclusive Look at The 52 Coupe from Absolute
This is a first look at the new 52 Coupe from Absolute.
The first one is currently about half way through its build, with sea trials expected to start in about eight weeks, according to the yard's UK and Eire distributor Ocean Nautic.
The boat features a saloon up arrangement, with three cabins down below, each with their own en suite. The master cabin is two metres from floor to ceiling - not bad for a sportscruiser - and designers have even managed to fit in a laundry area. Twin IPS 600s will power the new boat, meaning it should clear 30 knots with ease.
New 39 delivered to Pwllhei
Our latest delivery is a 39 to a client in Wales, a very knowledgable owner who specified her with the larger D6 310hp engines and a host of extras and options making her one of the highest spec'd 39's to date. The new owner Mr Andrew Murphy commented, "I am absolutely delighted with her, she is exactly what we were looking for, she is fast, very comfortable and has superb sea keeping. We get a lot of rough water around North Wales and we needed a boat that could tackle a bit of rough stuff. We also wanted a boat around 40' that had two seperate cabins and two seperate heads and showers and the 39 was the only sports cruiser that had these features, we couldn't be more delighted".

Absolute Announce Massive Investment in New Shipyard
Absolute Yachts Srl recently unveiled plans for a huge 20 million euro investment in a new shipyard near to their current yard. The new state of the art manufacturing facility will not only boost much needed production capacity but also allow the company to continue with its incredible new product development program at an even greater pace. The new yard will come on stream in the later part of this year in September 2007 with a second phase following later.
Absolute yachts are one of the fastest growing yards in Europe and have taken the market by storm with their ground breaking new technology and yacht designs, winning many awards along the way. They were one of the first to introduce out drive propulsion on a 14m yacht, the stunning and gorgeous Absolute 45 now considered by many the 14m benchmark. Its classic and innovative design, its scorching performance and fantastic use of internal space has really rocked the market.
